About us
Torridon Education Group is a family run business which was started in 1994 by Sharon and Paul Hayward for their own children Lauren and Amber. It is now on its second generation with Lauren Hayward as Group Manager ensuring family values are at the core of the centres.
Torridon Education Group started with 12 children in our family home in 1994. Since then, we have had the privilege of providing Early Years Care and Education to many children, for many years.
Torridon Education Group has continued to grow from strength to strength, and now has 4 well established nursery schools in Moray. These are:
- East Beach Nursery School, Lossiemouth
- Bishopmill Pre-School Centre, Elgin
- Jack and Jill Nursery School, Elgin
Where are we
Situated in the heart of the community, next to Lossiemouth’s East Beach, in a newly renovated nursery school on Queens Lane, we are the only building on that street with a large garden area with an in and out drive. Following Clifton Road (main road), Queens Lane is near the local fire and police station.

To fully appreciate what the nursery has to offer, we would like to invite you and your child to visit us, to meet some of the children and staff, and see the comprehensive facilities for yourself
On your first visit to the nursery we kindly ask that you make an appointment. This will ensure that a member of staff is free to spend time with you, to show you around the nursery and answer any queries you may have. We look forward to meeting you soon.
